Welcome, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I am also the owner and founder Ray of Light Wellness LLC. I completed my undergraduate studies at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island where I graduated in 2008 with a duel Bachelor of Arts degree, in Psychology and Sociology. From 2008-2010 I attended Wheelock college, which is now a division of Boston University, where I acquired a Master of Social Work degree. Shortly after I graduated I became a member of The Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I obtained my Massachusetts license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in 2014.
Throughout my career, I have worked with clients within community agencies, school systems and clinical settings. I am also a bilingual therapist who has been providing sessions in the Portuguese language.

Since starting Ray of Light Wellness LLC in 2017, I enjoy meeting with clients online and creating a comfortable experience for them. I currently work one-

on-one with clients ages 18 years and older with a focus in treating disordered anxiety, the impact of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), substance misuse and abuse, recovery from narcissistic abuse, issues with low self esteem, as well as support for the LGBTQIA++ community and for individuals with auto immune conditions and physical disabilities. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as trauma informed approaches. As a trauma informed therapist I meet clients where they are at with emotional validation, compassion and empathy. I provide mental health education about how trauma changes the brain, the important function of the vagus nerve, and how to calm fight or flight responses through the practice of evidence based modalities. I incorporate somatic techniques such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), guided imagery, and breath work. In 2019, I completed credits from the Integrative Institute of Mental Health and became a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider (CIMHP), allowing me to talk about nutrition, hormonal health, healthy exercise routines, the impact of our circadian rhythm, as well as incorporating spirituality and other natural healing methods, uniquely tailored to the needs of each individual and their comfort levels. In 2020, I acquired licensing to be able to meet with clients in the state of Rhode Island, and in 2021, I also obtained licensure in the state of Connecticut. In 2022 I started an Instagram page for this practice where I can be creative and spread mental education to a greater audience. Most recently in 2024, I obtained licensure in Maine. I am committed to spreading mental health information and resources while providing effective, accessible, and affordable mental health care to a wide range of populations and communities, which is the mission of this practice. ​
Anna Zweede, LICSW, CIMHP

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with close to two decades of clinical practice. I have experience helping clients who have endured significant trauma. Prior to becoming an online mental health therapist at Ray of Light Wellness LLC, I was a director of a domestic violence and sexual assault treatment organization for over a decade. I also have had the experience of working as a group leader for an intensive outpatient program providing services for individuals with substance abuse and addictions. I work with clients who have a variety of different needs.
I am passionate about helping clients who have been experiencing symptoms of PTSD, the impact of domestic violence and abuse, disordered anxiety, depression, significant grief and loss, ADHD, chronic health conditions/chronic pain, substance abuse disorders, low self esteem/low self confidence as well as issues with stress management and major life transitions.

In addition, I have training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI),and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I became a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider (CIMHP) in 2024. I run an 8 session telehealth women's empowerment group called "Radiate Self Love" which I will be running at various times of the year at this practice. In 2025, I also became a Supervisor for Massachusetts licensed therapists at our practice. I meet with clients at our practice Tuesdays- Saturdays.
Morgan Surabian, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts. I am trained in Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which is helpful for clients managing symptoms of trauma/C-PTSD/ PTSD. Many of the clients I have worked with have experienced medical trauma, chronic pain and chronic health conditions as well as terminal illness and traumatic grief and loss. I also have experience helping individuals with attachment disorders/styles. In addition, I work with many individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, issues with abandonment, traumatic childhood histories, chronic stress, and major life transitions.

I have a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Catholic University of America (CSWE Accredited). I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California. I have worked with clients at mental health agencies, medical settings, and schools. I have led therapy groups in clinics and telehealth settings. I have worked with high risk populations performing risk assessments and safety planning. I have performed end of life counseling for patients and their families. I have a history of collaborating with other providers to promote both better physical and mental health of clients who I have worked with. I have had experience working with both children and adults. In the past I have organized and directed a mentor program between high school and elementary school students. I work only with adults at Ray of Light Wellness LLC.
Karin Lee, LMHC
Virtual Mental Health Therapist Licensed in MA
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I am also a trained yoga instructor. I have a Bachelor of Art degree in Human Services from Northeastern University and a Master of Art degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. I value client centered care. I feel strongly about incorporating psychoeducation into sessions with clients so that clients feel confident in their abilities to understand themselves and to heal. I have knowledge in a variety of cognitive strategies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) , Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as holistic and somatic based approaches such as meditation, mindfulness, yoga, breath work, and vagal work. I use strategies that support clients' abilities to access mind and body expression of experiences.

I have worked with clients who have a variety of different needs. I have an interest in working with clients experiencing the effects of complex trauma and PTSD. I am experienced in working with clients who have a history of substance abuse and/or have addictive pattens of behavior other than with substances. I also meet with clients who experience mood disorders, significant anxiety and difficulty with emotional regulation.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I acquired a Master of Social Work degree as well as a Certificate of Grant Studies in Addiction and Co-Occurring Disorders from Rhode Island College. My focus and expertise has been in helping individuals seeking recovery from addiction and significant trauma histories.
I have worked at multiple agencies in Rhode Island, performing individual and group therapy services. I am deeply passionate about helping clients who are facing struggles with the impact of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I also help clients who have been experiencing challenges with substance abuse and addiction, anxiety, panic, depression,

mood disorders, ADD/ADHD, anger management issues, grief and loss,as well as issues with self esteem and stress management skills.

My name is Albert but you can call me Al. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) for the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I have a Bachelor of Art degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island. I obtained a Master of Social Work degree from Rhode Island College. I have over 20 years of experience helping clients who have experienced significant trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, grief and loss, as well as major life transitions. I would also like to work on men's health issues and help men build confidence in their communication skills. I worked with military personnel

in the army reserve for 7 years as a Behavioral Health Officer, conducting crisis triage and therapeutic support services. I also directed a psychiatric unit for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health as well as worked in various mental health departments and private group practices. I am knowledgeable in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (СВТ), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Motivational Interviewing. ​​

Laura Robinson, LMHC, LPC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut. I acquired a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University. I obtained a Master of Art degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford Connecticut. I have worked with clients challenged with eating disorders in Intensive Outpatient and Partial

Hospitalization settings. I have facilitated group therapy for the treatment of eating disorders. I have also provided meal coaching for clients and their families. I have worked with many clients who experience Obsessive CompulsiveDisorder (OCD). I am intensively trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and have experience utilizing ERP via telehealth. I also specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and trauma informed care. In addition to my work with clients experiencing eating disorders and/or OCD, I am also have expertise working with clients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Trauma & PTSD, Panic Disorder, and phobia.

Kiara Taveras, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I am also a bilingual therapist who can provide sessions in the Spanish language. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. I acquired a Master of Social Work degree from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. I started my career experience working within the criminal justice system. I had the experience of helping former inmates find work by providing job training and placement assistance.

I also counseled male inmates serving life sentences in a state penitentiary. I have explored diverse professional roles and experiences since becoming a social worker. My experiences in the field have ranged from working in a residential shelter for adolescent females providing case management services and leading groups for emotional support and preventative care to becoming a bilingual program coordinator for a Big Brother Big Sisters program. I have also worked as a bilingual family intervention specialist. I have had a couple of leadership and supervisory roles in mental health agencies before joining our practice at Ray of Light Wellness LLC. I find that I enjoy working with clients who need guidance on how to manage disordered anxiety, depression, trauma responses, healing from significant grief and loss, issues with low self esteem and self confidence, issues with communication skills and interpersonal conflicts. I specialize in both individual and couple's therapy. I utilize evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). I work Tuesdays-Thursdsays as well as Saturdays at our practice.
Erika Garcia, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the states of Massachusetts and Maine. I have a Master of Social Work degree from Flordia State University. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I became trained in Eye Movement and Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2022. I am well versed in Somatic Embodiment and Regulation Strategies. I apply Polyvagal Theory to improve clients outcomes. I also use modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) based on clients' needs.
My work in the field has been diverse with a focus on trauma informed care. I have worked with individuals experiencing

the effects of childhood trauma and also families who have experienced substance abuse. In addition, I have provided intensive outpatient treatment for active duty military personnel, families and veterans. In most recent years I have worked in private practice before joining Ray of Light Wellness LLC.

In my work, I use these tools to help you build a sense of trust and safety in yourself, in me, and in the world. Alexis Schuchmann, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Anthropology and a Master of Social Work degree both from Southern Connecticut State University. Most of my work experience has been in community based organizations and private practice settings. I work with clients who are 18 years and older. I have worked with college students, particularly college athletes around the role of mental health in performance. I also have worked with many clients in the LGBTQIA++ community. I am open to working with clients experiencing issues with gender identity and/or sexuality. Many clients I have worked with need guidance with how to mange anxiety, chronic stress, as well as how

to adjust to life's transitions and stages.
